The Irish Red & White Setters received full acceptance into the AKC effective January 1, 2009. They are eligible to compete in all AKC Events including Conformation, Field Trials, Obedience, Rally, Hunt Tests and Agility. We show and trial our dogs as each of them is ready to compete. We also enter each dog in AKC Hunt Tests as their training allows. All of our dogs are health tested as recommended by the IRWSA parent club for hips, thyroid, eyes and known testable genetic diseases before breeding.
